Here is a copy of the article I wrote followed by the messages from the individual (along with my responses).



Writing a game which causes death.

Is it possible and has anyone done it?

Hi,
I was just wondering how is it possible to write a game which kills the actual player (that is the person behind the screen)
Imagine the sensation it would cause if someone actually made a game with a 100% chance of killing the player.
Now the question is not so much "can you do it"
Of course you can. In the past many computer games have killed people. The Arcade version of bezerk reputedly gave two people heart attacks, also there have been cases of people addicted to mrporgs playing them to death, and seizures from flashing explosions are well known to cause death.
So let us discuss, how would one create such a game?
